Brody Football

Brody has been loving football!! He practices Tuesdays, Thursdays (4:30-6:30) and has his games on Wednesday night. His team has been playing well and they have only lost 1 game out of 5. Brody scored his first ever touchdown against the Lethbridge Coyotes and he was so excited. He got the ball on his first drive and tried to go right up the middle but was stopped by one of the bigger defensive players. He kind of hurt his back and he was a little sad because he really wanted to score a touchdown. They got back in the huddle and they told him that he had earned this touchdown and they were going to give him the ball again. A couple of the bigger guys on the team just told Brody to follow them and he would get in. I had not videoed anything the whole game, so I thought I better try to get something on video. The second play I videoed Brody took the ball and started to run up the middle but saw that it was blocked. So he took the ball to the outside and ran it in for a touchdown. We watched it over and over again. We said that he could eat anywhere he wanted to that night for scoring a touchdown and he picked to eat at Osho's.

Haydn Volleyball

Haydn is playing Volleyball for the grade 7 school team this year. It is pretty cool because it is his first real school sport that he is playing. The boys have played one league game and just played a tournament in Calgary called Rally Pointe. Haydn is Setting for the team and he is great at serving the ball. He will make a great volleyball player someday if he keeps practicing and playing. His first league game against Magrath, Haydn served 7 or 8 serves in a row for points. He knows how to play because he would always come to my practices when I was coaching the grade 8 boys last year.

Edmonton - Tooth Fix

I drove to Edmonton a few weeks back to start getting my front tooth fixed. We went to Steve Aneca in Spruce Grove because he is Kristi's first cousin and we didn't have to pay as much to get the tooth fixed. He had to pull the broken tooth that was still left in my mouth so he could put a metal post in. The metal post would eventually have a fake tooth attached to it. The needles were probably the worst part of all this! Needles in the top of my gums and the roof of my mouth.

I took Brody and Tyson with me and we stayed with Ryan and Brandi. Ryan had a ball tourney that weekend so we watched him play ball. He played one game at Telus Field, which is a big baseball stadium. After the game we took some cuts on the diamond. Of course I took the boys to Chuck E. Cheese before we came home. We stopped in Red Deer and saw my Dad. We hadn't seen him in a long time and it was good for him to see the boys and how much they have grown up.
