Brody Turns 12

These kids don't seem to want to slow down on the aging. I can't believe that Brody is already 12 years old. WOW. His birthday was on Monday and we went into Lethbridge to go into his baseball camp which started a few weeks ago.  This kid loves baseball and was excited to know that his birthday was on the same night as baseball. Even though it was a Monday night we decided to stay in and go to a late show. Monday night/ school night and we are walking into a movie at 930pm.

Brody had his interview with the bishop last night and on Sunday after church he will be ordained a deacon. He is excited to pass the sacrament and go to the temple and do baptisms. Its crazy to see these kids grow up so fast.

Brody was also in a christmas play for school and he was so funny. He played a funny elf that continued to get on the nerves of his drill sergeant elf. He was perfect for the part and delivered his lines and jokes perfectly. The audience loved him and after the show we had so many comments from people about how Brody made the show. We were so proud of him.

Haydn Turns 15

Haydn is 15 years old.....crazy.....that means I'm really old now hahaha. He has really grown up a lot in the last year (Size and a little in maturity haha). All Haydn wanted to do for his birthday was to go Bowling with his family.

Haydn made the Grade 9 basketball team this year. He was a little nervous because he is at the high school now and they were going to have a new coach. They took 3rd place in their opening tournament in Lethbrdige (beating Magrath in the 3rd place game). They lost a close tough fought game to Raymond in the semifinal game 61-55.

Last night Haydn played in Barnwell, which is about an hour and twenty minute drive. We were debating on whether we should go or not because it was a long drive for the younger kids. Man are we happy that we decided to go. Haydn had his best game ever. He scored 20 points in the game, which is his highest amount. I think he only missed 3 shots in the game. He hit a couple of 3-pointers, some mid range shots and a lot of points off fast breaks. We were so happy for him and you couldn't wipe the smile off his face after the game. It was so fun to see.
