Surprise Trip to Vegas

     I got home Friday afternoon from school and I was excited to start my two weeks of Christmas holidays. When I got home, Justin and Jo were there talking with Kristi and I could tell something was going on because Jo had her camera pointed out like she was videoing something. After a while no one really said anything so, I figured nothing was happening. Then I got a text on my phone and it was from Justin. It was a picture of a boarding pass to fly to Las Vegas. I said "Are we going to Vegas?" Just then Kristi came around the corner with a backpack that was all ready to go. Kristi looked at me and said, "Merry Christmas, your going to Vegas and your leaving right now." So we walked right out the door and drove to Great Falls and flew to Vegas for the weekend to see my brother Ryan.

      It was a great way to start the holidays. We just hung out with Ryan and his family and ate a lot of food. It was great to see Ryan, because they were not coming home for Christmas this year. I did forget my wallet back in Canada because we were in such a hurry to leave. So when I lost my first $60 at the casino, I had to call home to Kristi and ask for a couple extra bucks. Maybe it was a good thing I left my wallet at home. The Canadian/American dollar right now is terrible, so we get killed when we exchange for american money. 

Christmas 2015

     Not sure what to write about christmas. It was same old same old. We spent our Christmas Eve with Kesty and Katey and their family. We just ate and played games. The kids had a great time together. I guess I can just give a run down of what the kids got for Christmas and just let the pictures do the talking. Lenny got some stuffed animals, princess books, a baby stroller and a new little baby. She was pretty excited about the little stroller and she pushes it around like crazy. 

     Tyson Got a few stuffed animals, some coloring books and a few games. His favorite present was a game called Bean Boozled which involves eating jelly beans, but you don't know which ones will taste good or which ones will taste terrible. Some of the bad flavors are vomit, rotten eggs, grass clippings, and dog food. Trust me, they taste absolutely as bad as they sound. 

  

   Brody got a new iPod, a Tom Brady and Cam Newton Jersey, a Patriots toque, and some perler beads. These are plastic beads that you place in a type of design and then melt them into place. They are actually fun to mess around with. Brody later on bought a fitbit watch with some of his Christmas money.

     Haydn got a Celtics toque, a Spud Webb and a Larry Bird jersey, a 3 day Parkour camp (Which he loved) and tickets to a WWE event in Calgary. 

     The kids seemed to have a fun Christmas and enjoy what they got. Its always a stressful time making sure all the kids feel that they got the same as the other kids hahaha. 

Up until Right Now

     I really should writes these blogs right after they happen, because I end up just giving a really brief summary of things that happen. Me and Brody went skiing and had a really nice day at the ski hill. We went skiing for the Junior High with Haydn and we also had a really great day of skiing together. 

     Haydn played in a basketball tourney in St. Francis and his team took home 3rd place. In one of the games he hit 2 3-pointers and scored 14 points. He also played a tourney in Pincher Creek and his team took home 1st place. Haydn's basketball team had a good year. The boys were 14-4 on the season including tournaments. We lost in the divisional final to Raymond. We had beat Raymond in our last meeting, but didn't have enough in the final game. Haydn improved a ton this year and I cant wait to see him get better each season. 

      I took the Haydn and Brody to Calgary to watch WWE live. The boys were so excited and had such a fun time together. It was awesome to see the smiles on their faces.

     I entered a online beard contest and I made it into the top 12 beards. I am not sure where I ended up ( I didn't win) but it was cool to make it into the top 12. I having a hard time with whether I should shave my beard. Its becoming apart of who I am hahahaha.
