Talent Show

We had a Talent Show at the Junior High and Haydn was performing in it 3 different times. First Haydn was playing drums for the teacher group. We decided to perform the song "Fishing in the Dark" by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. We wanted to do this song so the students could get involved and perform a line dance while we were playing the song. We did not practice as much this year as we have in the past, but we still were able to put on a good show for the students. We had 12 students start line dancing with the song and towards the end of the song many of the students from the crowd joined in on the line dance.

Haydn was then in the school Rubiks Cube championship. They were seeing who could solve a Rubiks Cube the fastest. There were about 12-15 kids in the competition. Haydn had practiced so much and was so nervous about the competition and wanted to do well. He was the first to finish his Rubiks Cube in about 52 seconds. Haydn's fastest time to solve a Rubiks Cube is around 39 seconds I believe.

Finally Haydn was in the Gymnastic group. Haydn has been in Parkour for a while and has learned to do all different kind of flips and tricks. The Gymnastic and Parkour kids put on a great performance for the rest of the students. I was really surprised to see that Haydn could do a standing back flip.

Easter Break & Lennon Lou's B-Day

We had our Easter Break and we didn't really do a lot. haha. It is almost baseball season and I have been working on getting all the teams ready to go and getting all the equipment ready. This is what I did during my time off of school. Good Times.

I did take the boys to Lethbridge one day and we played at the park, got pizza, went to a movie, went mini golfing and got some ice cream.

Towards the end of the week we hit some softballs (Which felt great and I can't wait for the season to start) and  I had a couple of baseball practices for Haydns baseball team. Brody came and practiced with the older team and he did great. one of our big hitters got up and Brody was standing at shortstop and the hitter drilled a line drive right at Brody and he caught it. All the kids were cheering for Brody and he was so proud of himself. It was awesome.

The kids got there Easter baskets and Haydn and Brody got these new helmets with Cameras in the front of them. They have had a fun time recording themselves jumping on the tramp and riding there bikes.

Lenny turned 1 on April 11th. We can't believe that we have had her for a year. Time has gone by so fast and she is growing so fast. We had a bunch of people over to the Junior high and we played in the gym and ate a lot of food. Lennon had a great time tearing into her birthday cake and getting it all over herself. She is so loved in the family and I am sure she gets a little spoiled and maybe thats why she isn't walking yet. haha everyone wants to hold her! She is a great baby and I can't wait till she develops more and more of her personality. She does have a lot of hope to be normal with her Mom and Dad being so crazy.. hahaha Sorry Lenny.

Odds and Ends

Tyson had an unfortanate run in with a Treadmill the other day at Grandma Marla's house. The Treadmill was left running (It was asked not to be played with) and Tyson stepped on it and fell and got scrapped up pretty good. He was lucky cause it could have been a lot worse of an accident.
We have been going to the gym for quite a while now and we decided to do one session with the trainer that Jimmy goes to in Lethbridge. All I can say is that I have never sweated so much in my life. I am used to lifting weights now, but my cardio definitely needs some work. haha.
I am proud of Kristi and myself in all the hard work that we have put in to get ourselves feeling great and healthy. Its hard work, but I love going to the gym (And I never thought I would ever say that).

Haydn went gopher hunting for the first time and he loved it. He also shot a shotgun, which he thought was great. It does make me a little nervous, but I am glad he is outside doing things like that rather than playing video games haha
