Spring Time Fun

Well Spring is finally here!! We have had snow on and off since October and everyone was ready for some warm weather to com around. Having 7-8 months of snow can really start to annoy a person who loves the warm weather. Every Winter I ask myself why I live here? But we love Cardston and wouldn't want to be anywhere else.......Well Somewhere nice and hot year round would be great though. Would be nice to play baseball and softball all year round!!

We are excited for nice weather so the boys can play outside and we can spend time together camping and hanging out. I love to see the boys outside spending time with each other. It reminds me of when travis and I would spend hours outside playing catch, riding bikes and getting into mischief haha.

Crush Sox softball has officially begun! It is one of the best times of the year for me when softball starts. We have a great team and we are all so fun to be around. We all love to play and Win, but we have a great time playing. Kristi is not playing this year because of the baby, but hopefully she will be able to start playing soon. We have won our league 4 years in a row and we continue to be the team to beat in Lethbridge "B" Division. There are a few more teams this year that will make defending our title a little tougher this year.

Haydn and Brody are playing on the same baseball team this year. We didn't have many kids for the minors team Haydn was on, so we pulled Brody up from coach pitch and had him play. I couldn't find anyone to take over my coach pitch team, so Brody plays coach pitch and minors. He gets to play Mon-Thurs. Brody has played well in minors and hit the ball way better than I thought he would. he is not out of place at all!! Its fun to see the boys on the same team. We have won our first 2 league games and the team is looking pretty good this year. We had an exhibition game out in Glenwood as well. Had to stop by good old Van Dans for old times sake. haha

Our weeks are very busy now. Here is a regular week in the Wynder Home:

Monday: Caoch Pitch and Mens League Softball
Tuesday: T-Ball and Minors Baseball
Wednesday: Coach Pitch
Thursday: Minors Baseball
Friday: Coed Softball League in Lethbridge
Saturday: Minors Baseball Practice

Add in a New Baby, Work, School, Track Meets, Baseball Camps and Church Callings. All of this adds up to be a very busy May and June!!

Haydn had another basketball tourney in Mt. View in May. The boys played well and had some close games, but they lost 3 and won 1. Haydn continues to get better every time he plays. They have one more tourney in June and they have another 3 on 3 tourney at the end of the month. He has improved so much this year and has a better understanding of the game.

I have been participating in an online softball competition. The prize was a new softball bat to anyone who could finish in the top 10. The goal was to hit a home run as far as you can. The computer showed a pitcher and i would use my iPod as a bat. The iPod could read how fast you would swing and the ball would fly accordingly. I signed up under my email and Kristi's email. I probably swung my iPod 400 times between my account and Kristi's. BUT it all paid off (even the Pain in my elbow) because I finished 3rd and 9th and won 2 free bats!! I kept 1 bat for myself and sold the other one.

Haydn had Track and Field last week. He did well in his events. He finished 4th in Ball Throw, 4th in Triple Jump, 4th in High Jump and 2nd in Relay. He will be participating in Divisional Track and Field in Raymond in a few weeks.

We went camping for the May Long-Weekend in Fort McLeod with Justin and Jo. It was kind of a last minute decision, but we had a blast. The kids love going there cause they can play catch, basketball, ride their bikes, swim and mini golf. Even though it is not far away, we were happy to get away and do something with the kids. Lennon did great in the trailer for her first time camping.
